Evaluation

my lighting design was for a parents open evening so they could come and see what production arts is all about, through this I decided to do a forrest setting as all the different effects would show off what we are about much more.
Personally when I thought when all the lights were on at the same time all of the different greens blended well and adding straw and dark straw gels aswell worked to break up all of the greens and give a better forrest setting. The LED lights down the side were much more effective than expected as I set them up the curtains and it ended up looking like light coming down from forrest trees so I  was very pleased with.
When trying to set up the forrest gobo on the profile this was hard to see and focus as all of the different coloured lights shining brightly on the back curtain drowned out the forrest image. Due to this I decided to lower the power of the moss green as this was the brightest colour, this worked and could see the gobo effect properly. Also I think that having doors to the lights would be more effective as the lighting looked a bit too mixed and messy, so having the barn doors would of helped as it would of cut off certain lighting to make it much more organised and neat lighting. We could have also ensured the lighting surrounded the room correctly as we had nine lights facing the back curtain and the sides and only three facing back the way facing the back of the room.
